Saturday at 10:00AM:

We will be starting at High Point state park in NJ at 10:00AM. The park is the highest elevation in the state and has spectacular views of NJ, NY, and PA as well as a monument built in 1930 that will be open for us
to view. The state charges a $10 parking fee per car.

We will wind along route 97 following the Delaware River along the sloping terrain to our next point of interest.

Roebling's Delaware Aqueduct is the oldest existing wire cable suspension bridge in the nation. Once used to ferry barges as part of the canal system it has now been converted to carry cars as a
conventional traffic bridge.

As we have now worked up an appetite, we will depart and head to a private home on one of the Twin Lakes in Shohola, PA for hot dogs and hamburger's on the grill.

We have a beautiful setting to spend the afternoon enjoining plenty of shade and also swimming, boating, or a casual walk if so inclined. Among the interesting history of the area, Stephen Crane wrote Red Badge of Courage very close to where we will be. There have also been a few films shot "on location" at this lake.

Stay tuned for more details!
