The DMA 2007 Fall Foliage tour will be held in MD and DE this year!

 

Friday Night Hotel, Drag Racing, and Dinner:

Events kick off on Friday evening November 2nd for those who wish to arrive early.  We will be meeting at Hampton Inn in Elkton, MD around 5pm and taking a short trip to Cecil County DragWay.    Gates at the dragway open at 5:00pm (we expect to caravan in around 5:30) and the track is open to anyone who wants to race.  Several members have expressed an interest in putting their Deloreans on the track to see how they perform!
Admission is $10 for Crew/Spectators, and $15 for those who wish to race.
We will depart the dragway around 8:30om and head back to the hotel for an informal late evening dinner at approx 9PM at the "Cracker Barrel" restaurant next to the hotel.

 Saturday:

Saturday morning, we'll enjoy a free continental breakfast at the hotel and leave Elkton at 10am and begin the tour through MD to our first stop at the Massey Air Museum in Massey, MD.
Members can also go for a plane ride with the understanding that the museum is a non-profit organization and will request a donation.  
We are still working with vendors to set details and price for lunch.  Check back for more info shortly.

We'll leave the Museum later in the afternoon and continue the scenic tour through MD and arrive at the Chesapeake Farm for a scenic self-guided tour.  This tour is free of cost, and members can stop and take pictures at this beautiful wildlife preserve packed with all kinds of fall foliage and native wildlife.   The 3,300 acre park is owned and operated by the Du Pont company and showcases some of the most advanced agricultural and wildlife management practices in use today anywhere in the world.

We'll leave the Farm at 4:30 and continue the tour to Grasonville, MD where we'll be eating at The Narrows restaurant.   We are scheduled to arrive there at 5:30.  Dinner will be a reduced price of $30/person which includes tax & tip. Price does not include alcoholic drinks, but a cash bar will be available.   You can save money by pre-registering and pay for dinner by using the PayPal options below.   The discounted price for dinner will expire on October 20th!  Don't wait too long to pre-register!

Saturday Night:

We'll leave the Restaurant at around 6:30 and head to the "AmericInn" in Harrington, DE where members can chill at the hotel, go out for a drink, enjoy the pool or Jacuzzi, or hit the casino's and play their luck on the slots. Call and book under DMA discounted rate of $90/night.

Sunday:

Sunday morning, we'll enjoy a free continental breakfast at the hotel and then leave at 10am. We'll arrive in Lewes, DE at 11am for a 3 hour sight seeing cruise on the Delaware bay on a ninety foot wedding class yacht.  The cost will be $45 per person and will include a catered lunch.   THE ENTIRE YACHT HAS BEEN RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE DMA.
The cruise will return around 2pm and members can get on the road to home early, tour around Lewes, hit the outlets in the area, or even take the Ferry across the Delaware Bay to NJ.
