LBI Holiday Parade

The parade is held annually in Ship Bottom, NJ located on Long Beach Island and is televised locally. The Deloreans have become almost a fixture in the event.   The parade takes place in the middle of the day, so it can easily be a one day trip, or attendees can choose to come in the the night before the parade and stay in nearby Atlantic City. Anyone interested in coming in the night before just drop Gary Gore an e-mail in order to coordinate events and help him get the proper headcount.

The parade starts at 1pm. However line up starts early on Saturday December 2nd between 10:30am and 11:00am at the CVS Pharmacy in Ship Bottom NJ. The CVS is near the entrance to Long Beach Island as you come over the last bridge. It will be on your left, behind the Quarter Deck Motel which is at the base of the last bridge, so stay in your left lane as you come on to LBI. At around 11:00am we will head over to the line up area. The line up area is only three blocks to the north of the CVS on 6th street. Bring your Family Band radios and have them on Channel 12. We will also have them on at the lineup area close to the CVS. We should be through the parade route by 2:30pm. We will then head to an informal late lunch (or early dinner) which we should be done with by around 4pm.

This is always a fun event. Check out the pictures from a past years parade and a video clip from the televised broadcast by CLICKING HERE.

Official 2006 DMA Holiday Party

This year's holiday party will be in the city that never sleeps!  That's right...NYC!!!!

NOTE:  Is is NOT necessary to bring your Delorean!

The DMA has lined up a fantastic evening with Dinner at one of Todd English's "All you can eat" Italian restaurants, followed by a trip over to Rockefeller Center to see the tree!   Our Treasurer Lauren Reilly has been kind enough to set up this year's event, and she is even willing to entertain attendees with a social gathering at her place that evening (details coming soon)

After dinner, we will be heading over to Rockefeller Center to see the world famous Christmas Tree!!!!   If you have never had a chance to be in NYC for the Holidays, you wont want to miss out on this event.  Its going to be a blast!

More details are coming soon including a potential stop after Rockefeller Center at "Caroline's Comedy club" to see a stand up comic show!  We need feedback from members NOW if you are interested in seeing the comedy show or not.  This part of the evening requires us to pre-purchase tickets, so proper headcount, and interest levels are a MUST for us to coordinate.  Please indicate your interest level for the Comedy club when you pre-pay for the dinner event.

Members who wish to really make it a full day in NYC to celebrate the holidays can look into taking in an early Saturday matinee show at either 11:00am or 2:00pm for "How the Grinch Stole Christmas - The Musical" which is now showing on Broadway.   For ticket prices, times and information, please see: or call 212.307.4100
