Hotel Information:
Most people don't need a hotel for the summer run, but just in case
we have held 5 rooms for Friday and Saturday night at the "Freehold
Gardens" (soon to be a Radison).
$125, discount $115 up to 2 weeks
before when we loose the room block.

Saturday (9:30am Start):
The DMA
Summer fun run is always our leisurely summer event where we meet,
drive, and eat. We will be starting off at Monmouth Battlefield
State Park in Manalapan, NJ. We will begin our event with a 1 mile
walking tour of this historic battlefield from the American Revolution.

After the tour of the battlefield and
the visitor center, we will go to "Battle View Orchards" to pick fresh
peaches.
 
11:30am:
We will depart the orchard and begin our summer fun run drive
t o
"Turkey Swamp Park" (its MUCH nicer the the name Leeds you to
believe...TRUST US!) The DMA has reserved a picnic pavilion
where we will be having a FREE BBQ style lunch for all 2007 club members
and their guest who attend the event.
In addition to vast hiking trails,
fields and scenery, the park's major attraction is the 17-acre lake
where you can fish for bass, catfish, and bluegills either from the
shore or from canoes and paddleboats you can rent in summer. Canoe and
paddleboat rentals are available daily.
